Posts: 33 | you should always rember its not the size its how you use it. you have to think about this you bolt on a t70 turbo realy you wont be bolting it because you will have to change you manafold to suit your turbo. when you go a bigger turbo you will need more exhaust gas preasure to spool it up so therefore you are instantly going to get more lag. you see the bonus of having a bigger turbo is looks and ofcorse more boost. but how much boost can your stock motor take? you go a T4 what happens then? smaller turbo= faster spool up but you will loose max boost preasure.
E.G
MY vl had a garrett t4 turbo i replaced the rear housing with a t3 and now my turbo spools up at 2800rpm rather than 3300rpm so therefore faster e.t times faster street grandprix and more wow on your face!!!

Posts: 9 | I wouldnt recommed it because with the money u will spend on a bigger turbo and exhaust manifold for it u could get something more useful for ur engine. a T70 is way to big for a stock engine. Its a pretty stupid idea with the stock internals.

I agree 100% with greg n shane says,my dickhead apprentice and i had the same arguement with this,the stock internals wont stick around long,you can get away with it on SOME smaller turbo's but definetly not a T70.
Why waste ur dosh?its impractical and wont work properly unless u build the engine up to suit,or use a smaller turbo n have it tuned.you can get decent power n its been proven.
