Posts: 4 | Hello all.. I was just looking for some help. I have a VL with a twincam 2500 head on a rb30 bottom end. My prob is my car would run no probs till it got down to about 1/2 a tank then would miss and carry on like it was running out of fuel. I fill it up and it would be fine. So I thought it would be the fuel pump. But now it does it when it uses 10 to 15 litres of fuel and it's not running out cause it pumps black smoke out the pipe. I had a mate following me and he said it was bad. My biggest prob is nobody here where I live knows anything about motech computers. Do you guy's think it could be fuel pump or more like injectors? I was gunna get a fuel pump from a second hand car but then I might still have the same prob. Other thing it might be or could it be if i got some bad fuel this time (lent it to a mate and he had put normal unleaded in it) seems a bit funny but only run it on low boost and put some octain booster in it as well. My prob was not as bad b4 he did that. Ok any ideas would be good. Thanks for ya time..

Posts: 4 | I think I have found the prob. I'm going to replace the in tank pick up and pump. Should have it done on the weekend and will let ya's know if it fix's it. I took the fuel line off b4 the second pump and it was pumping fuel and air. Just something to look at.
