Posts: 6 | I was just reading the "Top 5 Factors Of Determining Your Car Insurance Rate", and it said if you want your auto insurance rates to be low, you sould drive a car with a lower price tag. I recently purched insurance for my 1986 VL (non-turbo). They said because i was a 17 year old and my car looked like a "HOONS" car, i would have to pay through the teeth, just to get decent coverage. so, with this in mind, there is yet another circumstance for the insurance companies to find a way to kick you in the pants.......... Good luck to anyone else wanting to get cheap auto insurance for a VL Commodore.
