Posts: 3 | hey guys im building a rb30 turbo and im wondering what type of power you think i will be putting out
ive done the following mods
t04 turbo
balanced and razor edged the crankshaft
shot peen'd the rods
forged aria pistons
all race bearings and rings
polished the head std cam
custom high raise manifold
custom intake manifold with xf throtle body
ems after market ecu
what do you guys think ill keep ya posted when i get it in the car thanks

Posts: 191 | You got the gear there,but a larger cam would work out in your favor.
Shot peening rods is basically metal blasting them,would have rather balanced them though,but still good practice.
Knife edging and balancing your crank is another good move,keeps vibration down but those steel cranks are pretty well done from the factory and even when they're old they are'nt very far out in balance.
The trick to get an engine to rev quicker is to shorten the length of the runners on your manifold if its front mounted throttle body setup,but your XF tb will take care of some of that anyway.
So,basically what you've done are the right things but your power could roughly be around the 250rwKw mark plus.
End of the day it all comes down to the hands of the tuner.
But good to see your buildn it tuff,goodluck with it all n hope to see some good figures mate
