Posts: 436 | The heads are the same on the RB30e and the RB30et,just the cam is different.
The turbo cam is a 252 and the standard one is a 248.
The numbers indicate the duration.

Posts: 436 | VLT ECU's are getting extremely hard to come by now,but i have 2 of them,if you got a manual then i can help you out but the auto one i need for mine.my manual ECU was reco'd and has proof there but there's somthing you should know about the ECU's;
*3TM is for turbo manual ECU
*3TA is for turbo autoatic ECU
If it does'nt have an ORANGE tag on it,DO NOT BUY IT!
But,i can get you one for your car through automotive solutions for around the $350 mark.these dont have tags as they are reco'd units.
Injectors on standard VLT's are BROWN,you can purchase these for $99 per injector from repco,so $600 for the set.
There's alot on ebay at the moment so you should'nt have too many worries finding both ECU and injectors.

Posts: 436 | $300 for my one, thats chipped with a stage 2 eprom.hauled arse too before i wired in my Microtech.
Look, the standard RB30e injectors will do for now.
Ive done it,but they max out depending on how hard you throttle it and in the odd case ive done some that have exploded under boost as they are not that strong, but will do for everyday driving, its called trial and error.
But if you want the ECU,just let me know coz it aint going anywhere in a hurry unless i put it on ebay.
Last one i put on there on a job i did for a customer, fetched $450.Diehard vl fans will pay the money for'em let me tell ya.

Posts: 436 | Whoever's telling you to get a programable ECU is probably suggesting an aftermarket ECU like a microtech or other.
But on the other hand,it does'nt hurt to get a piggy computer from microtech.they are programmable via laptop and the piggy normally costs around $900-$1600 depening on the setup you want, they normally control fuel and ignition which in reality on a N/A gives more power, same principal different application.
Injectors, ive normally used anywhere between 380cc and 440cc on standard VLT ECU's and they've gone pretty well.
If you go an aftermarket ECU id go 440cc as a minimum,if you use a VLT ECU then 380cc will do just fine.
Bosch 044 external pump, bosch injectors and a malpassi fuel pressure regulator should be used.
In the end,it all comes down to the tuner!
Small gains for power apart from the obvious headwork, cam,
valves and springs,ect ect.
If you have'nt got a front mounted plenum, get one!
the less piping you use,the less lag will be there by a shitload.you can get one from mortal racing on ebay for 300 bucks, excludes postage.i got one for myself and a customer n they are a good investment.
High flow your turbo if your using a TO3 n 3 inch cat back exhaust system.

Posts: 47 | umm im interested in your manual ecu can you hold onto it for a few weeks til i get the cash to get it off you. is it tagged or is it a recond either way i dont mind as long as it works and does the job.
also im willing to spend a little extra cash on injectors. what are the best injectors in your mind to get other than stock vlt injectors. im not exactly intending on using it for everyday driving

Posts: 436 | Yeah mate ill hold it for ya if you want it,that ECU was setup to run 550cc bosch injectors.
Since ive had the ECU it used to be tagged but it was replaced with a reconditioning tag by the ECU mob that done the mods.
If ya want it tell me when so i can put it on ebay with a buy it now price.

Posts: 436 | Depends on how much you wanna spend.
For this ECU,the Bosch 440cc injectors were perfect.
The 550cc choked it up a little, the 380cc were good for saving on the juice, but i would use 440cc injectors as they were the happy-medium.
Look for some bosch 440cc injectors n you'll be set.
