is it really worth just putting a pod filter on instead of the box. people always come out with all these suggestions but never just a straight answer.

Personally i would'nt waste my money on the bloody things.
For starters they are ilegal and if you get caught with one here im sydney, you'll get a defect notice n spend some time at the RTA if the cop's a right prick, fucks me why they still sell'em?

Yeah fair enough they do improve a few little things but it just aint worth the hassle.
Do it legally n just run a high flow filter like a K&N airbox filter.
High performance,yes.
General everyday driving,no.
Hope that clears it up for you.

i got a K&N pod filter i know that makka dosen't like them lol he tells me all the time but, with my pod filter i cut a hole where my old air box used to be and dropped a pipe down their and then put my old air box underneath with the hole facing the front of the car and then put my pod filter in their so with the box being their my pod filter is protected from water and dirt and gets all the cold air from the front of the car

so its acts like a cold air intake so that gets me more power.
