| temp problems |

Posts: 46 | today i was driving my VL and the whole way home which was a 20 min trip the temp gauge moved up to the first line normaly sits just below half today was a bit of a cooler day but not that cool. is it anything to worry?

Posts: 198 | No,where it was around was still normal operating temprature.if it does it more frequently in shorter intervals then replace the coolant temp sensor because they do tend to play up after so many years of being hot and cold day in day out.
Also keep check of coolant condition,thermostat and water pump.

Posts: 46 | cheers it was only serviced 600kms ago and has never missed a service thats why i got a little worried i knew it was normal. also this morning i only drove 5 mins down the road and was in the shop 2 mins and drove back and both there and back it didnt even move but i dont normaly lokk at it with a short drive like that

Posts: 198 | Yeah,i wouldnt worry too much mate.sounds like the temp sensor's playing up.just drive it n if it gets any worse then change it.

Posts: 46 | yeah also its easy for me because i work at a dealership so the mechanics could sort it out but today it played up all day then final drive home it worked but while i was at the servo waiting for a pump i banged on my dash softly and as i did that the gauge moved a little but yeah im not worrying to much its never had temp problems before and its always serviced on time so i cant see it over heating
