hey mate i dont know people say it is people say it isent this is my say i am currently shoving my pod filter behind my front buumper out in the cold air where it should be inside the engine bay whent he car is cold and just warmed up 3 minutes in or something runs great accelerates better thent he engine bay heats up and its rubbish does nothing so yea now im getting some piping and running it through the metal infront of my tyre and behind the front bumper the top of the pod facing forward reason being if its the right shape cone shaped with the other cone on the top smaller one that acts like an umbrealla when wind gets underneath it and lifts the umbrella up lots of air passes through so yea hppe u understood me and yea dont go to repco couse thye ask for like 300 bucks in some pipes get outa here go to some industrial shops i picked p everything for 30 bucks piping only the pod filter was 40 k&n and yea tools shouldent spend mroe then a 100 figures with the pod outside the car underneath the front bumper is smoother faster acceleration also cold air is more dense you can get mroe into the motor and i think its up to 10 kilowatz if u get ur ecu maped free power is worth it well not free but ug et what i mean so yea get your pods there if they are shiny paint them in like a black only the metal but you dont wanna paint the filter black couse if cops see them there its a defect godluck with it

im sure it makes more power with n/a but does it gain with turbos. the reason i say it coz the colder air will just heat straight back up when it flows thru a glowing hot turbo. so really that air is going to run hotter by the the time it leaves the turbo an into the motor? thats just my thoughts so prove me wrong. ???????????

would be better with the pod filter outside the car couse the air would be cold so then it gets hot so what it will cool down when it gets to the intercooler fromt he engine bay your taking in really hot air and its getting even hotter and then going trhough the intercooler i think having the pod outside helps couse cold air is better

the charge coming from the cold air induction filter would only get hot from the turbo so wouldnt that make cold air induction useless? the only way i see to cool a charge is an intercooler as that cools the air after it has ran thru the turbo.
does that make sense or am i missing something???

its easy, the colder the air going into the motor, the better.

a cold induction will help as the air wont be as hot, a CAI power difference is not very noticeable on a turbocharged  car, i take it its intercooled? front mount? want it colder?   rob a wreck for its washer bottle and nozzles. set up water sprays 4 the intercooler. wire it to the throttle body butterfly with a sensor so when you tramp it, sprays water on the cooler.

lol sprays water on the intercooler now thats just stupid you really wanna be smart why dont you make the air cold to begin with and you can keep it legit have an enclosed box with a pod filter inside in your engine bay the night before you drive it stick your pod filter in your fridge freezer so that thng is fucking cold the thing will luanch big time did it once with my vl but i went one step further and elf tthe pod outside toke it out liek 3 in the morning freezing cold outside with a frozen pod on a cold night woa was it fun car didnt make ti home unfortunetly XD try it guys i know it sounds tupid but it works u need a pod filter with the metal wiring thing and a really cold fridge whitch doesent make ice u dont want ice on the pod

Nothing wrong with water sprays for the intercooler, how is that stupid?it keeps the air intake charge temp down!
Where does it state in the RTA rules that sprayers are'nt legit??????NEWS TO ME!!!!!
Oh wait a sec, brilliant idea here, lets cart a trailer around and a freezer full of frozen pods filters?
Clown!
