Posts: 3 | Ive got a VL for my first car so i dont know much about it yet, just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of how much it is to get my stock red vl repainted like a metallic blue, any info on that would be appreciated

Posts: 11 | to change the colour it must all be prep and in primer. so all the red has to be grey (primer) this means doors have to come of to paint them and jams motor has to come out unless you use spay cans for the hard too reeach spots. boot, bonnett ect..... all have to come off.
it would cost about $650-$700 for the colour only so add another $200 for your primer/filler then the cost of papers tape ect... if repairs are needed that would be more money again. that is the price i paid for blueprint blue ford.
to have it done in a shop i cant see it being any less than $5000
