Posts: 41 | hey guys i recently threw a tacho onto my car couse i had the gay monster clock and now i got monster tacho with shift light whitch fucking shift lights to bright so i always have the cap on it looking at it the other day at the lights idling at watching it sit nice at 600 700 and then goes down to 500 and back up i was like wtf??? then got home listening to the exhuast runs nice runs nice then a very very soft you can barely hear it more exhuast gets pushed out when it drops to the 500 why does it do this???

Posts: 36 | Hey mate i've experienced the same thing, did it happen after you installed ur tach or before? is it really bad? most of my problem was due to rich mixtures at low loads, check your plugs if they are dry powdery black then this means your mixtures are too rich which could be caused by fualty sensors or a bad tune (wet oily black, your in a lot more trouble).. could also be a lean misfire.. faulty idle control valve or a number of other different things. ahhh the joys of efi. let us know how u go

Posts: 7 | yea im having the same problems atm az well but it seems like it revs up high then really low but i mean 1400 high and struggles to idel low so i found out that the wires to the coil pack had touched and shorted and then my computer its playing up they say it could be possible spiked well in trems fucked

Posts: 41 | eyy buddy battery terminals i aint stupid or something if the car starts its a bit obvious they are on fine i dont know ohh i also only noticed this when i threw the pod filter on before i dont know if it did or did not do this

Posts: 241 | sorry m8 i meant maybe the battery terminal could be loose an the vibration of the motor causing it to loose contact worth a look

Posts: 241 | there is also a contact on the throttle body you can clean them up with sandpaper it signals the ecu when the throttle is closed they are the only simple things i can think of
