Posts: | ok so the story goes the vl was over due for a dyno tune after fitting an interceptor to control fuel mixtures and was given a road tune. while i thought i was getting around running wat i thought was 6psi (was only 4.5 on dyno). anyway the final tune resulted in 200.6wrwhp @8.2psi..
while i was relatively happy with the power figure i want more boost!!! i'm aware i need more fuel... but what im wondering is if the turbos are only rated to about 300hp then will more boost do anything but create more hot air and decrease turbo life? these are the only mods that would have an effect on power... any feed back would be awesome!

fuel reg
digital fuel adjuster (airflow meter intercept)
600x300x75 front mount 3" piping
throttle moved to front of plenum
3" exhaust hi flow cat single cannon muffler (all stainless)
rebuilt auto with heavy duty and apparently extra clutch and fricton plates(don't quote me on that one), kevlar bands modified valve body, 2500 stall

Posts: 241 | if the turbo is rated at 300hp and you are sqeezing close to 300 then more boost will equal more power but you will prob fuck turbz.if it dont like it then bigger cooler to create more area to compress air volume?

Posts: 36 | yeah i think u might be right about the tuner.. they were good blokes but only had the dyno for 3 months.... like u said not huge power figures n i really am looking for about 300hp @wheels on the standard motor. already got bits and pieces to build t3/to4e... and bosch pump on it's way ready for the new year.. my plan is to bump up the pressure on the standard injectors to around 50psi and changing regs for a 2:1 reg in hopes to actually support around 450hp under boost on standard injectors... standard efi fuel lines are rated to 5bar aren't they? i hope so
