if u got the standard turbo exhaust manifold then pull it off n hit the ports with a die grinder, just dont touch the edges of the port!
They have pretty big restrictors in'em so i ground them out,the ports for cylinders No3 and No4 are'nt so bad but grind them out anyway n make sure there perfectly level n flowing to the shape of the circle,i did mine last week n im doin my mates one n i noticed a huge difference in the power n fuel eco,not much in fuel eco but a little, lol!

i also got a stage 2 EPROM chip n that also made a huge dirrerence.not much else u can do without spendn dollars n go injectors, cam headwork,ECU remap.throttle body n all the other usuals.hope this helps, goodluck!

thanks mate, yea i was told the manifolds were pretty restrictive, so u just ground out the ends were they join up to the head, and made them the same size?

Hey skot,

The old skool trick 2 remember with ANY manifold is to match the ports on the head and the manifold with the gasket,if u come out of shape with it which you will if u have not done this before then dont worry too much, the gasket will take care of that.trying to port just the manifold is pointless, but the restrictors is a different story.

If your head's off the car then match it evenly as best as you can to the manifold n gasket, but if your not doing the exhaust ports aswell then leave then n just grind the restrictors.BUT BE WARNED,do not grind too much off it!
If you look under where the flange bolts upto the head you will notice ditches there, these are part of the restrictor castings,if you grind the inside 2 the shape of the port you will winde up with a hole through it,ive done this before,so the best way is 2 grind it as flat as possible and not to shape it,grinding flat will still be good enough 2 have a noticible power difference on the car.or go to ebay n you can can buy them of a guy in brisbane that i use.His store is called SKRacing, you can buy low mount stainless steel turbo exhaust manifolds(polished)for $320 including postage n gets to your door within 3 working days, and a TO4E internal wastegated wet bearing turbo for $550.ive got this on my R31 skyline and i swear by them the are amazing for the price!they fucking haul arse too!
hope this info helps mate
