Posts: 30 | mate dont give ya cash away. often you can buy paint (2k) for a hell of alot cheaper. sure you wont know how to paint it but would u pay sum1 to sand and bog if u know how to do it?
to get it lookin shmik:
-body kit
-painted -hothouse green (that mettalic green on new holdens)
-chrome headlights
-change ur stocko rims for sum sweet shaddow chromies
-interior: if youve got some paint left over (150mls+) go to your local paint shop (house paint shop) and ask them to order this stuff called 'flexadd'. add it to your paint and it expands with the heat inside a car so it doesnt peel off.
-paint the dash, centre console wit it, leavin th black bits black. door trims too- continue the theme from the outside, inside. itl look pro.
-good quallity seat covers with padding in the covers-mine looks like racin seats!
-stereo system- enuf for some doof
-exhuast-cant have looks without a meen sound. and that doest meen rippin off the rear muffler and puttin a cannon on! a nice 2/5" cat back mandrel bent with a hotdog at the back. looks nicer than a chunky muffler and sounds schweet too. and if you want some bogan points gut out your cat! but if the boys in blue pull ya up ur on ur own!
-tidy the engine bay up; re-route the wirring so it doesnt look like youve got 40 thousand sensors like evry otha vl.
-steering wheel! geez vl steerin wheels are f****d
shell be a nice lookin 'L. believe me its cheeper than u think.

Posts: 308 | paint is pretty exspensive than you have to have all the rite equipment by the time you add all the products together it would be around the same to pay for a proffesional to do it.
you like 2k but you need a spray booth for it takes longer to flash off and sticky an if your painter has a good booth he can bake it on there at a higher temp.
CHEAPER AND BETTER FOR A PANEL SHOP

Posts: 24 | Mate ur best bet is to just hand it over to the pro's cause they have been doin it every day its there job.
And if ur gunna go painting the interior the saying is "u pay for what u get" its just gunna look real cheap. its better paying the $$$ to get it retrimed
