hey everybody, i want to lower my VL the cheap way by cutting the springs front and back. Ive been told that if you lower it too much using this method it will mess up the camber and make the tyres scrub, is this true? how can i lower it, any help would be great

Posts: 1 | I cut my springs on my wagon and the back rear tyre was scraping on the inside wheel arch whenever i took a right turn, so i went back to stock. its not worth doing man it'll cause more trouble than good, save up and get some kings or koni's or something, plus cops love stickering cut lowered cars. hope this helps

Posts: 20 | hey guys just find a mate who works in the mechanical industry and get him to buy some springs and shockies trade price, ive got a mate who works for red devil radiators and airconditioning and i asked him to get me some shit, cost me $469 all up superlow king springs front to rear and shortened monroe gas shocks, better then paying $770 str8 from the shop, and plus if you cut them like the others said cops will defect you or ull loose a spring or 2 and ur shocks are standard ride height so they will fuckout, leak oil, and no doubt bugger the back end of your car
my opinion mate, do it right or dont do it at all, cud save a life you know
cheers Rob

Posts: 20 | hey Tyson doesnt matter if u cut ur springs or not, if u go real low you will need to get lowered shocks too, if u go over a big bump ur back springs could fall out, also you will need an ajustable panard rod aswell cos ur wheels will scrub on one side if you dump it to much. Plus Mikes right cops love Makita springs.
