| help with an rb30 engine |

im buying an 87 model vl, it has 280000ks on the clock... i realise in a car thats 20 years old they are all gonna have shit tins of ks but how much longer can i expect the engine to last... this is a project car so long term plan is to dump the old engine and replace... thanks for your help...

Posts: 24 | Well ask the old owner if he knows if the engine has been replaced or u can do so by going 2 ur RTA and checking the engine numbers but if its the stock engine from new it might last for another 100,000 all depends how it has been driven!!!

Posts: 6 | hey, mines been running 385k and still runs really well, has a couple of little issues but she is a reliable piece of work, just did a trip across the Nullabor(?) about 6 months ago so she isnt that bad.
