Posts: 2 | whats crackin every1, i own an 84 VK that i picked up for $300 off a mate, i've always wanted a VL but on my wage it isnt gonna happen to soon, im almost 18 so im lookin to start drivin real soon. Just wonderin would it be worth takin out the 202 and putting an RB30 into a VK? Would it take much work? How many compnents would need replacing? Some help here would be really appreciated!

I owned a vk with a rb-30 conversion done ( DUMB_ASS ) Look what you are best of doing it getting yourself a nice vk (if that what you want) then going out and buying a wrecked vl. then you will have all the parts you need. tou will have to change to front cross member from the vl to the vk( that is a simple bolt off bolt on job) then tranfer to rb-30 into the engine bay of the vk move to battery to the other side wire it up and bobs your uncle you can even use the sulsbury vk diff if you want however the vl diff is much stronger (and they do bolt in there) and the diff gears are better to vk-295-1 ratio vl-345-1 ratio. so yes you can do it it is a simple conversion if you want help let me know ill help ya. e-mail me if you like getonthebrake@hotmail.com
