Posts: 2 | Hey guys, im saving for a vl turbo nd was wondering how i could get a bit more power out of it.. was thinking 3 inch turbo back exhaust, front mount, pod... anyother ideas?? ur help would be great cheers..

Posts: 18 | GTR injectors, i think my mate said RB26 GTR heads?? not sure... one of the RB head should bolt straight onto it. better ignition and spark plugs (mayb a racing kit soughta thing lol), mount you're cooler upside down for less lag :P high flow you're turbo? (i think nyou high flow it... or you buy a T3 high flow one of the two), tweak you're gearbox (tougher parts maybe?) VR diff and rear axle (better brakes on rear... and i THINK the VR has a mini spool? dont hold me to it) mild cam shaft thing, high flow/pressure fuel pump, oil cooller (better one) thats all i can think off now.... oh oh plug n play ECU thingey.. or remap the ECU (VL's got ECU? or something like it... electronic fuel injection an all)yeah lol

want power,if ya got the dosh 2 spend go a 3inch mandrel bend system from the cat back,750cc sard injectors,bosch 040 high pressure fuel pump,TO4E or T70
turbo,microtech LT8 ECU,mercury or spitfire coils.
if ur goin twin cam RB26 head it'll crack arse coz the combustion chambers are bigger,then really good headwork &
hotter cams.
if ur stickn with the RB30 head same thing,extensive headwork n a hotter cam.
wouldnt bother with an oil cooler,its more a restrictor than an item thats suppose to keep it cool.
then ur usuals,bigger throttle body(xf falcon or an 80mm throttle body)cold air induction,intercooler,good lubricants n coolants.goodluck n enjoy

Stock VL Turbo with
T3/4 Hi-flow
3" Exhaust
Front mount intercooler
Boosted to 15psi will see your car make up to the 200kw mark
when you really wanna see some power
get dw bout GTR injectors go straight for
1000cc Injectors
get a Motec
an Cam to suit
on 15psi should see 250kw atleast
Id suggest a rebuild 1st,LSD and shiftkit if u wanna run

Posts: 24 | mate grab urself a rising fuel reg and hi flow ur turbo. 3inch mandual bent exhaust,avo intercooler kit, xf throttle body, up grade to 1000cc injectiors, 3.89 diff gears,avo cam, msd ignition system,motec computer formated on "dyno" should be good for 280rwkw atleast

Posts: 21 | Yea nice one Michael, a vl turbo will shit all over a vl v8, and u dont have to spend as much dollars on gettin them moving either, i bet you have never even driven a turbo'd car b4.
