hey guys i wanna lower my vl. i have 17s on it and it scrubs as it is. i put new king springs on it and it stiffened it up a bit but it still scrubs. any one else have this problem. and do u know how i should lower it

you lipped your guards yet i've got 17's and lowered 2 in the rear and it rubs hard over bumbs gotta lipp the guards

na mate not yet. i heard ur paint can crack. but one of me mates hasnt done it and his is fine. i wanna put 18 inch cv8r rims on it and lower it so i gotta find somethin to fix it

Get the wheel arches tubbed maybe? or waht ever the hell they do to em... they cut out the arches and put bigger ones in? lol iunno but a few people do that

just bight the bullit and do it properly get it tubbed u only need a little bit.. my calias runs 20x10s on the back and 19x8s on the front i will be postin up pics soon i will be at final battle with it look out 4 a crome yellow walky and a candy red aero they  r myne

IF IT SCRUBS IN THE FRONT YOU HAVE SMAKED UP A GUTTER AND BENT LOWER CONTROL/WISHBONE 4 BOLTS AN ITS OFF.
SCRUBS IN THE REAR THEN CHECK YOUR WHEELS ARE NEAR EQUAL IN DISTANCE TO WHEEL TO GAURD IFSO BENT PAN HARD 2 BOLTS
USE A RAG AND DOLLEY SAME SHAPE AND TAP THE LIPS INTIL ROLLED DONT HIT HARD METAL MOVES EASY STILL SCRUBS THEN YOUR SHOCKIES ARE FUCKED PUSH ON IT IF IT BOUNCES THERE FUCKED

have you got an adjustable panhard rod? get behing the car on your guts and look down the left, centre and right of the car. theres this metal rod thats connected to the axle and comes out, arount the diff and back onto the axle. if the diff isnt in the middle of that then your tyres are offset. look at your tyres. is it only scrubbin on one side? theres your problem. its mine anyway and ive got 16s on!

ive got a vl calais with 17s on it atm and its lowered on super low king springs all round i have no problems at all, what are ur tyre profiles??? thats were people go wrong, i have 225/45/17 on the front and 235/40/17 on the rear and its fine even lowered, u can get you guards rolled out to suit but i reckon ur offset is really wrong get it checked out, if its the rear just drop the trailer arms and replace them, they are very cheap and they come with rubbers 2, and also replace ur panhard rod it could be bent, try measuring ur offsets urself, pretty easy to do.

i have 235/45/17s all round. my mate can drive round with 18s and no springs just sittin on the bump stops and it still doesnt scrub
