Posts: 308 | PUT A MANUAL BOX IN IT THEY ARE QUICKER WEIGH LESS AND DONT SUCK ALL THE POWER OUT OF THE MOTOR YOU ALSO HAVE MORE CONTROLL OVER THE VEHICLE
IF YOU WANT POWER THAN GET A STOCK V8 IF YOU THINK A VL TURBO HAS BALLS THAN A GOOD STOCK V8 WILL HAVE YOUR BALLS COVERED IN YOUR OWN SHIT

Posts: 30 | YES A MANUAL BOX BUT THEY ARENT AS STRONG AS THE AUTO. A STOCK MANUAL IS FAR LESS STRONG THAN A TURBO ONE, BUT A STOCK AUTO IS ONLY A LITTLE BIT WEAKER THAN A TURBO AUTO. IF YOU GO STACK MANUAL THEN REBIULD IT. THERE GOES UR $$$

Posts: 20 | if ur gunna use a manual box get the mx7 manual, its the vlt box much stronger then a stock jacto 4spd auto, unless u build an auto, the jatco will handle 500hp max with the right build, big stallie etc

Posts: 30 | he only has 15 hund. i dont think buying a box now is the right fing if he wants to turbz it. get the turbo setup, run it at low boost, dont thrash it then when youve saved up for a box get it!! i was only talking about what he wants with what hes got. he has a stock auto which is stronger than a stock manual. and obviously on a budget! once u hav the turbo setup, then buy the mx7 manual. but dont drag evry1 and thrash the livin shi* outta it coz u thing ur a maaad cun* coz its turbo'd

Posts: 308 | manual box are very strong, mx7 stronger all gears. auto suck power thru torque convertor witch stops instant power going to the box making the auto NOT stronger but less likely to break due to the slow smooth power into the auto box (torque convertor)
both turbo an non manual boxes are stronger than auto the only prob is you have instant power going thru a manual box as clutch is released making them more likly to break.
think of slamming an auto from nuetral into gear/drive at high revs wouldnt last long but a manual handles that every day.
MANUAL BOX : STRONGER QUICKER
AUTO BOX : WEAKER SLOWER

Posts: 21 | yeah keep the auto, there stronger than manual, put shift kit in it and stall it. wont break as easy as a manual and will snag gears heaps quicker and you will get off the line faster aswell.
