Posts: 2 | Hey, im lookin for suggestions for my vl sub and amp setup, my dad has recommended that i put a brace of the rear wheel arches and have the amps on the sub boxes, with the subs attatched to this brace, so that wen the sad day comes that i sell my vl, i can just take the brace out of the boot, and put to rubber mellets in the holes and no one will know that ive put the brace in...do u guys have any otha suggestions?

Posts: 30 | get alot of cardboard boxes (fridge boxes ideal) and a stanly knife. cut out each side of the boxes. put it in the boot as it where the face (where you would see it and where the subs face out) cut out the wheel arches of the box, and the side walls. theres your layout. put the cardboard on some mdf and trace it out. my old setup was two 15"s on the back wall, a 12"in the middle of them near the bottom. and one 10" on either side of the walls. (spare wheel and the other side)on the floor make a shallow rectangle so it fits snug in between the back and walls. put ur amps there.
get a quality mono amp for the 15s and two 2 channel amps. (one bridged for the 12, the other for the 10s). using the spf selector, run the 10 throughout the mid range, the 12 for all the range and the 15s for bass.
this setup alone popped out 2 rear windscreens at low volume! perfect for competition or poppin the boot for a party!. trust me. its worth it.
