| need help on how to turbo a N/A rb30 plz guys |

Posts: 2 | i just bought my first car, a vl exec. i have done everythin i want to already, audio, alarm, interior, but now i want to mod the engine. coz its an exec it is a N/A rb30, n i need to know the steps i need to take to turbo it. any help would be appreciated... either reply on here or email me... adams_new_1@hotmail.com

Posts: 15 | Mate, i think the best thing for you to do is to pay a visit to your local performance mechanic and maybe ask him, cause everyone will have a different answer to your question and it will just confuse the shit out of u.

Posts: 4 | As above.. Your best off going down and telling them how much money you have and see what they can do for you. Then do the same at another shop till your happy with what your spending and what your getting.

Posts: 10 | i would not run anything past 10psi on stock injectors as anything over this they are running at full duty cycle and will cause major pinging - i.e possible detonation. I would suggest if its your first VL to hang off for a bit and get use to the car before you going down the road of a turbo. Basically you will need a new exhaust manifold for starters,the turbo, the water and oil lines for the turbo, a series 2 engine is preferred but it can be done with a series 1, a possible decompression plate unless you want to kill the engine and other little bits and pieces that i can tell you about if you want. Your lookign at at least a grand to get all the parts together and that would be on the cheap side. As people have said above, do some research first, but in my opinion if you dont know about it, its probably not for you.
