Hey all, just thought id post my first topic. i recently got a VL turbo given to me and have decided to use it on track only for drifting. i know not the best platform to start off with but hey its free. dont know alot about the dirty 30 and its got a few parts missing but hopefully in the next month or two it will be done. apparently it was a non turbo motor but now has a T28 (i believe), turbo head and injectors, 8mm leads and iridium plugs, however its not a turbo 5 speed so it will go pop on the first run. 1" master cylinder, air con has been removed. now i asked the donor if it has a decomp plate but he said it did (and i have it) but now its got a 1.something mm head gasket instead. just wondering whats my best approach as its not running aparently there is a fuel problem and wondering how do i prime the turbo before first kickover? i have bought a turbo 5 speed off a mate, talked to a few workshops and now have a hook up for exhaust, cooler piping, rollcages and clutches/brakes. today i tensioned timing belt, put timing cover on, removed rocker cover and put new rubbers and gasket on, removed passenger side headlight, started stripping interior and lost my can, no idea where i put it, its around somewhere. |

G'day mate, sounds like a great project! You going to do competitive drifting, or just for fun? |
