Stock turbo

3" sports system with a hi flow cat and an intercooler

then get a boost guage and a dyno tune.

That would be the first thing i would do.

Series 2 have these 4 golden like bungs on the right hand side off the block for the turbo's oil and water feed lines.

If its 87 and 88 its most likely a series 2 engine.

Best power upgrade would be to highflow the turbo and run a intercooler and up the boost and like 22181 said a 3 inch exhaust would help aslong as you have a 3 inch dump pipe and a 3 inch highflow cat.

Any more power ontop of that would mean a bigger turbo like a T04 or a gt35/40 and then a s**t load off more work to the motor like fuel injectors and bigger pump and a aftermarket ecu.

Maybe even a bottom end rebuild.

hopefully this helps.

Because VL turbo's didn't exactly have and Intercooler then get a heaps big Front Mount intercooler first up, then do what everyone else said.

Hey mate,im lookin for $1000 ono for the bottom end,its got nearly everything but you will need to nick a few bits off ur old engine like the balancer, timing gear n a couple of other bits n pieces coz some bits were lost or swapped but u dont need much, the reciepts have gone for a walk so its a nearest offer thing.
I got heaps of other shit like turbo ECU's,manifolds ect ect.
if u wanna know the specs then just ask or wat else i have then just ask as im just tryn to get rid of the stuff as i dont play with them anymore, cheers

$1000 for the bottom end is a little bit to much mate but i am sure you can get at least $700 + if its healthy.

Good luck with the sale.

cool azz so what condition is the bottom end in has it had any mods, and what sort of ecu's do u have aftermarket or standard ones.other then that still working out what i need to put the turbo setup on and run with out killing my first turbo car always been a fan of the v8s easier...

VL_LUVA:Well,it says ONO so there's no gaurantee i definetly get a grand for it but yer ill def get 700+ for it,i know what its worth ive played with them for years!
Trust me its fresh brand new internals, everything n has'nt been touched since i built it,thanks mate.

4THRLZ:Hey mate, the bottom end is as i said, brand new everything since i bulit it n its been sittn round covered in a big plastic bag n gets turned every month or so,im open to offers.
It has PROBE PRS series forged pistons 040 o/s,7.8:1 is the comp ratio.
VLT rods,shot peened n balanced,linished,balanced n crack tested crank
bottom end has been machined like the bores n crank journals,HV oil pump,hi energy gated sump n pick up,so not many mods but its strong.

I have 2 standard VLT ecu's,1 was a manual n the other is an exchange auto ECU to suit VLT.they can go for 150 each.cheers
