hi, i recently purchased a VL and the previous owner degreased the engine bay and now it wont start, that was the reason he sold it. what would be the problem? My brother told me it was something in the ditributer got wet or the coil. Has anyone had this problem before and how did you fix it? thanks |

generally there would be moisture in dizzy cap but crank angle sensor could also be prob? |

Take the Dizzy cap off and check if its spinning if it is then the dizzy isn't fu**Ked if it is spinning check the ignition leads with a screw driver make sure you dont touch the screw driver and check if theres a spark if there isn;t and the dizzy is spinning then its the crank angle sensor. Best to get a proffesional to check for spark if you dont know what your doing. If you still havn't got spark then it could be either the coil pack or the ecu itself. Best change the coil pack first before the crank angle sensor. If its none off the above and you still dont get spark see a auto elec. If you do have spark then check if your have fuel going to the engine if you dont have fuel going then it could be a fuel pump fuse or a f**K**d fuel pump. |
